Centaurea montana

ζ*C. montana L.

ζ*C. montana L. ζ* is a tall perennial with winged stems, oblong-lanceolate lvs, large capitula with dark brown shallowly fimbriate decurrent appendages to the involucral bracts, blue radiate outer florets and purple inner florets. It has been collected from the wild once, from Otago Peninsula (OTA 012162, Scott, 11.2.1965). (C. and S. Europe, 1988).
