Prunella laciniata
ζ*P. laciniata (L.) L. ζ*, cut-leaved selfheal, has been collected recently from a roadside at Ngaruawahia in the Waikato. Previously, the sp. had been recorded from the Fox R., S. Westland, by Allan but the specimen on which this record is based is sterile. This sp. differs from P. vulgaris in that most or all lvs are pinnately and narrowly lobed, the plants are much hairier, the lower calyx teeth are linear-lanceolate, and the corolla is cream or pink. Pink-flowered plants are sometimes cultivated. (Europe, W. Asia, N. Africa, 1935).
