Coprosma propinqua var. latiuscula Allan

Var. latiuscula Allan var. nov. 

Type: BD 10654, Titahi Bay, edge of coastal forest, H. H. Allan, 7/9/1924.

Spreading much-branched shrub, prostrate when very strongly insolated. Stipules often nearly free. Petioles slender, winged, 1-2-(4) mm. long. Lamina obovate- to elliptic-oblong, obtuse, (5)-8-10 × (2)-5-6 mm. Shaded lvs ± 12-15 × 8-10 mm., on petioles up to 10 mm. long.

DIST.: N., S. Coastal to lowland rocky, gravelly and sandy places and forest margins from c. lat. 40 º 30' to 43º. Also occurs near Oamaru and on Chalky Id.
