Vicia narbonensis

ζ*V. narbonensis L.

ζ*V. narbonensis L. ζ* is known from 2 collections, Kaikoura Id (Great Barrier Id) and Nelson, but has not been seen since 1941. An erect annual similar to V. faba but less robust, with upper lvs tendrilous; leaflets 20-50 mm long; lower calyx teeth > tube; corolla dark purple; pod 30-70 mm long. (S. Europe north to Hungary, S.W. Asia, N. Africa, 1899).
