Helenium autumnale
ζ*H. autumnale L. ζ* has been collected only twice, established as a persistent garden escape in a pasture near Greytown, Wairarapa, and as a casual in Christchurch. An erect perennial similar to H. puberulum but differing in having usually simple stems branched above to form denser cymes, the distinct sharp teeth of the lower and mid cauline lvs, and the conspicuous yellow to coppery red ligules 15-20 mm long. (N. America, 1958).
