ζNestegis Raf. ζ includes the 4 indigenous N.Z. spp. treated under Olea L. by Allan (1961). Moore, L. B., in Allan (1961, p. 1025), referred these spp. to Gymnelaea (Endl.) Spach., but Green, P. S., J. Arnold Arbor. 44(3): 377-389 (1963), pointed out that Nestegis is the correct name, the combinations having been made by Johnson, L., in Degener, New Ill. Fl. Hawaiian Is 300 (1958).
