Stems 5-10 cm. long, sparingly branched. Lvs remote, often deflexed, oblong to linear-oblong, entire or nearly so, subcoriac. Capsules rather stout, 12-20 mm. long, glab. or very sparsely hairy; peduncles long.
DIST.: Based on specimens collected by Cheeseman on Cass River near Lake Tekapo. Plants in cultivation had peduncles up to 8 cm. long.
