Passiflora ×rosea
ζ*P. × rosea (Karsten) Killip ζ* (P. mollissima × P. pinnatistipula) has been recorded in cultivation in N.Z. [Young, B. R., Rec. Auck. Inst. Mus. 7: 156 (1970)], and specimens collected wild at Diamond Harbour on Banks Peninsula are probably referable to this hybrid. Such plants have pinnatisect stipules, but these are without the long dark filiform segments of P. pinnatistipula (Fig. 93); the length and indumentum of the hypanthium and the corona filaments resemble those of P. pinnatistipula, but the lf lobes and softer texture are similar to P. mollissima; the stamens are usually ± petaloid, with filaments free from near the base to about 1/2 way up the gynophore, and the fr., which is very rarely formed in N.Z., somewhat resembles that of P. pinnatistipula. (Colombia to Peru, 1988).
