Type: C. pellucida R.M.Schust.

Shoot apices strikingly complanate, with folded, rather dense leaves, with shoot tips upcurved. Leaves with bases sheathing, the leaves asymmetrical, with the ventral margin ampliate, the ampliate sector denticulate or crenulate-denticulate, in part or wholly by cells elongated at right or oblique angles to the leaf margin. Leaves with rather distinct median basal field of larger, conspicuously elongated cells.
