Cephaloziineae R.M.Schust.
Jungermanniales suborder Cephaloziineae R.M.Schust., J. Hattori Bot. Lab. 36: 391. 1972.
Although the suborder has many representatives in the Northern Hemisphere, all of the families occur in the Austral areas. Four families are included in the Cephaloziineae : Cephaloziaceae, Cephaloziellaceae and Adelanthaceae, which are well-represented in our area, and the Jackiellaceae, which is represented only by a single species in New Zealand.
