Utricularia mairii

U. mairii Cheesem. Man. N.Z. Fl. 1906, 560.

Type: A, 8615, T. Kirk and G. Mair.

Stems floating in still water, very slender, 5-15 cm. long, sparingly branched to simple. Lvs ∞, ± 4-10 mm. long, filiform. Bladders ∞, 2-2.5 mm. long. Fls? Capsule?

DIST.: N. Known only from the type specimens, collected 1872 in Lake Rotomahana. Not there again seen since eruption of 1886.

Kirk (T.N.Z.I. 5, 1873, 343) has a note: "Utricularia, n. sp. Amongst Conferva, Rotomahana; in appearance resembles U. intermedia, but the bladders are attached to the leaves." U. intermedia has yellow fls.
