Helichrysum bellidioides var. gracile Allan

Var. gracile Allan var. nov. 

Type locality: Doubtful Sound. Type: BD 23979, L. B. Moore, Deep Cove.

Main stems 1-1·5 mm. diam., lvs seldom up to 7·5 × 5 mm., narrow-obovate, distinctly narrowed at tip to short mucro; scapes almost filiform; capitula seldom up to 2 cm. diam.; achenes mostly < 1 mm. long.

DIST.: N., S. Montane to subalpine, descending to lowlands in southern part of range, from 38° 30' southwards, more plentiful in S.

Var. erectum Kirk Stud. Fl. 1899, 309. Stems erect or ascending, stouter; lvs narrow lanceolate-spathulate, acute, coriac.; scapes stout. Dist.: S. Dun Mountain, Nelson. Type: W, P. Lawson.
