Suborder 4.LEPIDOZIINEAE R.M.Schust.

Jungermanniales subord. Lepidoziineae R.M.Schust., J. Hattori Bot. Lab. 26: 228. 1963.

Three families are included in the Lepidoziineae : Phycolepidoziaceae, which is monotypic and contains only the Neotropical genus Phycolepidozia R.M.Schust.; Lepidoziaceae, which is well represented in our area; and Calypogeiaceae, which is represented in New Zealand by two species in the genera Calypogeia and Mnioloma.
