Porina emiscens

Holotype: New Zealand. Sine loco [probably Wellington], 1882, Charles Knight – H-NYL 1984. Isotype – WELT.

Description : Flora (1985: 414).

N: Wellington. Known only from the type collection.

Endemic

Porina emiscens is characterised by: the corticolous habit; the dark olive-brownish, red-brown or grey-brown thallus; semi-immersed, minute, black perithecia, 0.01–0.1 mm diam.; 3–5-septate ascospores, 20–27.5 × 3.5–5 μm.
