Papaver aculeatum
ζ*P. aculeatum Thunb. ζ*, bristle poppy, a spiny plant with small fls and narrow glabrous capsules, has been collected from Otago and Marlborough and is probably a casual introduction. It has also been recorded in N.Z. as P. horridum. (South Africa, Australia, 1922).
