Celmisia ramulosa var. tuberculata G.Simpson & J.S.Thomson
Type locality: Rough Peaks, Lake Wakatipu. Type: BD 50003, G. Simpson, Feb. 1936.
Upper surface and especially margins of lamina studded with minute papillae, mingled with a few rather stout hairs. Scapes slender, ± 5 cm. long; bracts somewhat widened at base. "Ray flowers linear oblong, 1·5 cm. or longer, 2 mm. broad, obtuse, thickened and incurved at the tip."
DIST.: S. "The variety is common on many of the mountains on the eastern side of South Island, where it replaces the more showy form of the western districts, and no doubt it is the form with patent leaves mentioned by Cheeseman (1925 p. 936) as sent to him by Cockayne."
