Hebe raoulii var. maccaskillii Allan

Var. maccaskillii Allan in T.R.S.N.Z. 69, 1940, 273.

Type locality: Weka Pass. Type: BD 56575A, L. W. McCaskill, Oct. 1937.

Branches slender and elongate in rock crevices, erect in cultivation. Lvs us. < 1 cm. long, broad and obscurely serrate above, narrowing cuneately to petiole; several pairs below infl. much smaller, entire and bractlike. Infl. simple or with only 1-2 lateral spikes. Two anterior calyx-lobes almost completely fused, a very much smaller posterior lobe separating the two lateral ones. Corolla often white with widespread lobes. Capsule sts partly pubescent.

DIST.: S. North Canterbury. Limestone rocks near Waipara and Rangiora.
