Oscularia caulescens

ζ*Oscularia caulescens (Miller) Schwantes

ζ*Oscularia caulescens (Miller) Schwantes ζ* has been collected once only, from Scarborough, Banks Peninsula, Canterbury, where it is a casual garden escape. Perennial. Lvs not papillate, thicker than wide, glaucous, reddish on apex and margins, sharply trigonous, often with 1-(2) small teeth on margins; keel smooth. Fls 3, in bracteate cymes, 2 cm diam. Petals pink. Capsule 4-7 mm diam., 5-locular; expanding keels converging, winged; placental tubercle 0; locule lids present. (South Africa, 1988).
