Linaria alpina

ζ*L. alpina (L.) Miller

ζ*L. alpina (L.) Miller ζ* has been collected wild near the Maungatoetoenui Stream by the Desert Road, Volcanic Plateau and is sometimes cultivated in rock gardens where it seeds freely. A small glaucous-leaved annual or perennial; fls 2- c. 12 in racemes, c. 15 mm long including the spur, usually violet but sometimes pink, with palate orange; spur 5-7 mm long. (Mountains of S. and C. Europe, 1988).
