Senecio colensoi var. obtusifolius Allan

Var. obtusifolius Allan var. nov. 

Type: BD 60022, Cape Turnagain, J.F. Findlay.

Less sparingly branched, stems stout. Lower lvs 5-7×3·5-5 cm., broadly oblong to elliptic-oblong, obtuse, fleshy, crenate-dentate; upper lvs narrower. Capitula up to 2.5 cm. diam.; phyll. up to 1 cm. long, with broad scarious margins. Achenes linear, 3 mm. long, hispid to nearly glab.; pappus-hairs up to 7 mm. long.
