Var. tenuifolia
Type locality: "In sandy soil, small wood among sand dunes, Tauroa, Mangonui Coy." Type: W, H. Carse, Xmas 1914.
Lamina 15-30 × 10-20 mm., very thin, obovate-oblong, shallowly crenately lobed to sinuate to subentire; indumentum sparser, of shorter hairs. Petioles ± 10 mm. long. Scapes 5-12 mm. long, capitula 5-8 mm. diam.
DIST.: N. North Auckland Peninsula, local.
Similar forms have been collected near Opotiki, Raurimu, and Ahipara in N., and near Macraes in S.; but the populations have not been critically studied.
