Rinodina tibellii H.Mayrhofer

Holotype: New Zealand. Canterbury, Banks Peninsula, 8.2 km S of Diamond Harbour, Mt Herbert Forest, 450-530 m. 6 November, 1980 L. Tibell 9374, UPS.

Thallus sordid whitish or pale grey, membranous or rimose-areolate, without perceptible prothallus, saxicolous. Apothecia lecanorine, subinnate to adnate, contiguous, to 0.5 mm diam., disc blackish, concave to plane, margins entire, concolorous with thallus. Hymenium 80-90 µm tall. Epihymenium dark brown. Hypothecium colourless. Ascospores of Physcia -type, torus well-developed, 16-22 × 8-10 µm. Chemistry: Zeorin (tr.)

S: Canterbury (Banks Peninsula), Otago Peninsula.
