ξT. compactum Host ξPlant 60 cm. Leaf-sheath and leaf-blade shortly pubescent. Spikes 4 × 2 cm, oval, light brown, with spikelets very close-set on the rachis and strongly divergent from it. A Eurasian species collected once, Wellington railway yards V. D. Zotov Jan. 1942 (CHR 25460).
