Senecio lapidosus
Type: A, 10724, H. J. Matthews, March 1909. Status uncertain.
Densely branched depressed shrub up to 20 cm. tall; branches with pale flaky bark; branchlets with woolly tomentum. Lvs close-set, lamina 3-4 cm. × 8-15 mm., on petiole 1-1·5 cm. long, elliptic-ovate to elliptic-oblong, obtuse, coriac., with thin cobwebby tomentum above, clad below in dense white tomentum, margins minutely crenulate. Capitula solitary, up to 2 cm. diam., on tomentose bracted peduncles up to 5 cm. long; ray-florets 10-15, yellow; phyll. linear to linear-oblong, tomentose on back, subacute, inner with broad scarious margins. Achenes c. 2 mm. long, narrow-linear, striate, hispidulous; pappus-hairs up to 6 mm. long, barbellate.
